Speaker's Research Initiative

The Speaker's Research Initiative has been started on the initiative of Hon'ble Speaker, Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly. Its purpose is to facilitate brainstorming between the members of the Assembly, subject experts and the general public on matters related to public concerns, so that by taking advantage of the experience and knowledge of the subject experts, the Hon'ble member can efficiently discharge his responsibilities in the House in the light of public aspirations. Along with this, the aim of this step is to increase public awareness through seminars, workshops, lecture series and other programs on important topics of public interest. The Presidential Research Initiative was originally initiated by the Lok Sabha in the year 2015. Since then, programs like national and international seminars, workshops, lecture series have been organized on various subjects under this, which have benefited the Hon'ble Members.
