Print Vidhan Sabha Library
After the formation of Uttarakhand State on 09 November 2000, the Legislative Assembly Library was established in the year 2001. At the time of establishment of the library, books received from Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly were kept in the library. In the initial days, there was only one member in the library. Gradually the library expanded and the number of books and employees increased. In the collection of the library, there are many useful books like reference books, story collections, encyclopedias, government orders, dictionaries, state publications, gazettes, proceedings of the Houses, etc. At present, by giving a new look, a new direction to the library, the hon’ble Speaker, Mrs. Ritu Khanduri Bhushan has taken a resolution to establish a digital library, so that the members of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly along with the employees of the Legislative Assembly Secretariat and the researchers interested in Parliamentary system can take advantage from it. The work of keeping the books in digital format in the digital library of Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly is going on at a fast pace. The audio visual material is also envisaged to be stored in a digital library. The audio and visual proceedings of the house will also be available for the visitors.
